The Cedar Valley Amateur Radio Club owns and operates several repeaters in the Cedar Rapids area: 146.745MHz, 145.150MHz, 147.090MHz, 224.940MHz and 443.600MHz. The club has approved changing the 443.600MHz machine from an analog repeater to a DMR repeater. Stand by for news on the new DMR system.
All CVARC repeaters are an open community resource and as such any properly licensed amateur radio operator may use them to communicate. While membership in CVARC is not required to use the repeaters, dues do support the ongoing maintenance costs and upgrades to the repeater system.
There are a few guidelines we have when using our repeaters, which are outlined in the latest repeater policy.
CVARC Station Trustee/Repeater Trustee: David Peterson, KCØALC
