Our Journey in Amateur Radio
Cedar Valley Amateur Radio Club is a proud 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our members are committed to fostering a supportive environment for amateur radio enthusiasts in the Cedar Rapids area, ensuring everyone has access to knowledge and resources.
The club was founded by local radio enthusiasts who recognized the need for community engagement and education in amateur radio communications. Since its inception, CVARC has grown tremendously, welcoming members from all backgrounds and age groups, male and female.
CVARC serves a diverse group of clients, including emergency services, local schools, and community organizations. We aim to strengthen community ties and enhance public safety through effective communication.
Our Partners
CVARC is partnered with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), Linn County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES), the Linn County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and the National Weather Service.
