We have social time starting at 6:00pm central time, with the official meeting starting at 7:00pm.

Our Journey
in Amateur Radio
Cedar Valley Amateur Radio Club is a proud 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our members are committed to fostering a supportive environment for amateur radio enthusiasts in the Cedar Rapids area, ensuring everyone has access to knowledge and resources.
The club was originally founded by a group of local radio enthusiasts who recognized the growing need for community engagement and education in amateur radio communications. From those early beginnings, CVARC has grown tremendously, evolving into a vibrant organization that welcomes members of all backgrounds, age groups, and genders.
In addition to fostering a strong internal community, CVARC also serves a diverse range of external partners, including emergency services, local schools, and community organizations. Through these associations, we aim to strengthen community ties and enhance public safety by promoting effective and reliable communication.
